Ingredients
1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh chives or parsley, chopped (optional)
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl or food processor, combine the avocado and softened cream cheese.
Add lemon juice and minced garlic.
Whip the mixture using a hand mixer or process in the food processor until smooth, light, and fluffy.
Stir in chopped herbs if using, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Transfer to a serving bowl or airtight container. Chill for 15–30 minutes for best flavor.
Serve on toast, bagels, or as a dip with crackers and veggies.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
Use whipped cream cheese for an even lighter texture.
Keeps in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in an airtight container—press plastic wrap against the surface to prevent browning.
