  • Total Time: 20 mins
  • Yield: 8 sausage patties 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey with salt, pepper, sage, thyme, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well to evenly distribute the spices.
  • Add maple syrup (if using) and mix again until well incorporated.
  • Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into patties, about ½ inch thick.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook the sausage patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  • Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  • Serve warm with eggs, toast, or your favorite breakfast sides. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Make Ahead & Freeze: Shape the patties and freeze them raw on a parchment-lined tray. Once frozen, transfer them to a ziplock bag for easy storage. Cook from frozen, adding 2-3 extra minutes per side.
  • Serving Ideas: These sausages pair well with avocado toast, sautéed greens, or a breakfast wrap.
  • Spice it Up: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or extra red pepper flakes for a spicy kick!
  • Substitutions: Swap maple syrup for honey or leave it out for a sugar-free version.
