Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large russet potatoes, diced into ½-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
- ½ teaspoon chili powder (optional, for a little heat)
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra spice)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the potatoes: Wash and dice the potatoes into ½-inch cubes. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- Season the potatoes: In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and any optional seasonings you prefer. Mix well to coat evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for 2-3 minutes.
- Cook the potatoes: Spread the seasoned potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes for even crispiness.
- Check for doneness: The potatoes should be golden brown and crispy on the edges. If needed, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot with eggs, avocado, or your favorite breakfast dish!
Notes
- For extra crispiness, soak the diced potatoes in cold water for 15-20 minutes before air frying. Drain and pat dry completely.
- Try adding chopped bell peppers and onions for a more flavorful variation.
- Leftovers? Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes.
- You can substitute russet potatoes with Yukon Gold or red potatoes for a slightly different texture.
